SANFORD — Gloria Millman Hickey, 91, of Sanford, died Nov. 11 at the Sanford campus of Southern Maine Health Care.
She was born in Acton on July 25, 1923, the daughter of Charles E. and Ruth Butler (Day) Millman, and attended Sanford schools.
Gloria worked as a secretary at the former Goodall-Sanford textile mills, and then worked as the executive secretary for the Stenton Trust in Sanford, from where she retired many years ago.
Gloria was a longtime member of the North Parish Congregational Church in Sanford, and with her husband, Patrick W. Hickey, was a longtime member of the South Congregational Church in Kennebunkport.
She was preceded in death by: her husband in 2006; and their twin sons, Patrick
and Michael.
A funeral service will be conducted on Friday at 2 p.m. at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main St., Springvale. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery in Sanford.
