BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick Parks and Recreation Department will be offering two adult basketball leagues this winter.
One league is open to teams consisting of adults 18 and older, and the other is an Over-35 League.
Teams will be accepted into the leagues now until Nov. 25. Each league will have a 10- game regular season schedule followed by a single elimination playoff.
Games are played on Wednesday evenings for the Open League and on Sunday/ Wednesday evenings for the Over-35 league.
Individual players without a team can sign-up to play. If 10 independent players can be found, a “house” team will be formed.
Each Brunswick resident player will pay an $85 fee, and non-residents will pay a $90 fee that will cover all league fees, user fees and a team Tshirt. Individual players are encouraged to register. If there are not enough players to form a team then players who have submitted the $90 fee will be fully reimbursed.
Teams and individuals interested in joining can contact Aaron Cropley at the Brunswick Rec. at 725-6656 for more information.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
