Every year about this time, WGAN radio advertises for the Polar Express. A little girl asks if she can visit Santa at the North Pole. Santa tells the little girl she can ride the Polar Express to visit him. The children ride the train wearing pajamas and bedroom slippers, and sip hot chocolate. What a lovely experience for a child. However, what about the ‘ needy’ child who cannot pay for a ticket, and have nice pajamas and slippers?
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the Polar Express could come to our Brunswick station and bring any child who wants to go to the North Pole to visit Santa? Of course, all the children would have nice pajamas and bedroom slippers.
No child would be asked if they are ‘needy.’
