BRUNSWICK — Bowdoin College women’s volleyball players Christy Jewett and Quincy Leech have been named Honorable Mention All-Americans by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
Jewett, a junior outside hitter, was a First Team All- NESCAC selection this season. She continued to establish herself as one of the top offensive players in the nation, racking up a school-record 445 kills while putting home 65 services aces and collecting 328 digs. Her 961 kills stand fifth in school history.
Leech, a sophomore setter, sparked the Bowdoin attack with 773 assists this year while also carding 44 services aces and 221 digs. After just two campaigns her 1,318 assists already stand fourth in program history.
The Polar Bears concluded a fantastic season with a record of 23-9, reaching the regional final of the NCAA Division III Tournament.
