SANFORD — Angie Boissonneault, 80, of Sanford, died on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014 at the Greenwood Center in Sanford.

Angie was born in Freeport on April 10, 1934, to Edward and Blanche (Camire) Lachance.

She grew up in Saco, where she attended local schools. When she was in high school, her family moved to Sanford, and she graduated from Sanford High School in 1954.

In 1955, she married Richard Boissonneault, and together they shared nearly 60 years of marriage and raised three children.

She was employed as a sales associate at several large department stores in the Sanford area during her working life, until she retired at the age of 62.

She enjoyed scrapbooking, genealogy and cherished the holidays. She was particularly fond of Halloween. She took pride in collecting stuffed animals throughout the year, which she would lovingly distribute to approximately 800 trick-or-treaters every Halloween. Spending time with family was always a priority for Angie, especially with her grandchildren. Each year, she and her husband would rent a cottage on the beach for their family to gather and enjoy the ocean together. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Angie was a devout Catholic and had been a member of St. Thérèse of Lisieux Parish.

Angie was preceded in death by: her parents; her brother, Dr. Donald Lachance; and her son-in-law, Everett Chadbourne Jr.

Surviving are: her husband, Richard Boissonneault of Sanford; three children, Debbie Chadbourne and her companion Scott of North Berwick, Donna Hanson Dugas and her husband Paul of Springvale and Mark Boissonneault and his wife Stephanie of Sanford; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Frank and the staff of Hospice of Southern Maine and Greenwood Center for the care and compassion shown to Angie and her family during her period of declining health.

Visitation will be held from 9:30-11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 25 at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, located at 580 Main St. in Springvale. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at noon at St. Thérèse of Lisieux Parish, Notre Dame Church, located on Payne Street in Springvale.
