BIDDEFORD — Rachel Boissonneault, 70, of Biddeford, died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014 at Gosnell House in Scarborough.

She was born in Biddeford, to Charles Eugene and Lillian (Couture) Perreault, on Oct. 11, 1944.

Rachel was educated in Biddeford schools, graduating from St. Joseph’s High School.

On Oct. 27, 1989, she married Gerard “Gerry” Boissonneault at Fremont Hall in Biddeford.

Rachel was employed at AVX. She started as an assembler, and then moved into the office, where she ultimately became a scheduler, retiring in 2010.

She loved being outdoors. Her favorite thing was being a grandmother and spending time with her grandchildren.

Rachel is survived by: her loving husband of 25 years, Gerry Boissonneault; five children, Timothy Madore and his wife Lisa of Lyman, Tammara Madore of Biddeford, Terrance Madore and his wife Lisa of Saco, Elaine Calvert and her husband Bill of Waterboro and Kevin Boissonneault of Old Orchard Beach; two brothers, Richard C. Perreault of Biddeford and Robert Perreault and his wife Jacqueline of Pace, Florida; two sisters, Renee Fournier and Ruth Perreault, both of Biddeford; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Ignatius Cemetery, Berwick Road, Sanford, ME 04073. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Rachel’s name be made to the American Cancer Society, New England Division, Inc., 1 Bowdoin Mill Island, Suite 300, Topsham, ME 04086.
