AUBURN — Vivien C. Gustwick, 71, of Lisbon Falls, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, Nov. 23, 2014, at the HospiceHouse in Auburn following a brief illness.

She was born on Sept. 28, 1943, in Surbiton, Surrey, U.K., the daughter of the late Ernest and Phyllis (Preston) Eager.

She grew up in England and attended schools there. Vivien met her husband Paul F. Gustwick Jr. in Bermuda while she was working there as a nurse midwife and they were married on Dec. 13, 1968. Together they lived in various locations before settling in Maine in 1975.

Vivien enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was an enthusiast of ancestry research.

She is survived by her two children: Sarah Hanson and her husband David of Lisbon Falls, and Christopher Gustwick and his wife Michelle of Beaufort, S.C. She also leaves behind her four grandchildren, Cody and Cooper Gustwick, Cali Hardacker and Brinley Hanson; her brother, Geoffrey Eager and his wife Sheila of the U.K.; as well as a special niece Marianne “Maz” and her brother Richard.

Visiting Hours will be held on Friday, Nov. 28, from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home followed by a gathering at the family’s home.
