BIDDEFORD — Carolyn Helen Lachance, 82, of Biddeford, died on Monday, Nov. 24, 2014 at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford.

She was born on Sept. 20, 1932 in South Portland, a daughter of William and Irene (Nadeau) McLellan.

In December of 1974, she married Raoul Lachance at St. Andre’s in Biddeford.

She did clerical work for various places, including St. Andre’s and the University of New England.

She was involved with the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. She volunteered at Westbrook Skating Rink.

She enjoyed shopping and the holidays. Carolyn thoroughly enjoyed being a grandmother, and her granddaughters were everything to her.

Carolyn was preceded in death by: four brothers, Russell, Robert, Richard and Clifford McLellan; and one sister, Barbara Holding Dupre.

She is survived by: her loving husband of 39 years, Raoul Lachance; son, Stephen Tinkham of North Dakota; stepson, Norman Lachance and his wife Diane of Saco; stepdaughter, Dorothy Newton and her husband Donald of North Berwick; sister, Kathy Dennison; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 1, 2014 at St. Anne’s Chapel of The Good Shepherd Parish in Biddeford.
