BRUNSWICK — Patricia “Pat” A. Masse, 80, of Woodside Road died peacefully and surrounded by her loved ones, Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick.

Pat was born on Aug. 3, 1934, in Brunswick to Philip and Antoinette Dionne Livernois. Pat graduated from Brunswick High School in 1953 and married her late husband, Ludger R. Masse, on Oct. 5, 1957.

Pat was a strong and caring woman with a heart of gold, always taking care of everyone around her. As the mother of six boys, she was often described as a saint by many that knew her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

 

 

Pat’s most influential job of all was being a wonderful mother to her six sons as well as an amazing wife. In addition to that, Pat worked in retail for most of her career, working at Day’s Jewelers for almost 30 years, Grand City in Brunswick, and ending her career at Brunswick Ford.

Pat enjoyed seasons in Maine, cooking, crocheting and knitting, camping, bowling at the Bowling Bowl in Brunswick, bird watching, flowers, and most of all, family gatherings. She enjoyed watching baseball, especially her favorite team, the Boston Red Sox.

Pat is survived by her six sons, Dennis and his wife Kelly of North Yarmouth, Shawn and his wife Debra of Dixmont, Rick and his wife Brenda of Brunswick, Tim of Topsham, Jim of Brunswick, and Steve and his wife Rachel of Arizona. She is also survived by her two brothers, Philip Livernois and Daniel Livernois; and her two sisters, Sylvia Williams and Vivienne Finneran; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and greatnieces and nephews, all of whom she had great love and affection for.

Visiting hours will be held at Stetson’s Funeral Home on 12 Federal St. in Brunswick from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 30. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 1, at St. John the Baptist Church- All Saint’s Parish on 37 Pleasant St. in Brunswick.
