LISBON
An inauguration of newly elected officials will take place at the start of the Lisbon Town Council meeting at 7 p.m. today at the town office.
The council will elect a new chairperson and vice chairperson as well, and is scheduled to enter executive session to conduct the town manager’s evaluation.
The council will conduct a public hearing on the proposed renewal of junkyard permits for Campbell’s Used Auto Parts and Huston’s Auto Salvage. A hearing is also scheduled for proposed Chapter 70 zoning ordinance division 5 signs and the repeal of the sign section in Chapter 62 Site Plans. The council will then consider granting second and final passage on the changes.
Councilors will consider granting first passage of other proposed zoning changes to Chapter 70, one regarding domestic animals and the other changes are to sections regarding dimensional requirements.
The Council will adopt council working rules, board and committee liaison assignments and set a date to discuss the upcoming police department budget.
Two appointments to the Recreation Committee, both for terms expiring June 30, 2017, are also planned.
