TOPSHAM — Cub Scout Pack 646 of Topsham will host a spaghetti and meatball dinner Saturday night to help fund a new derby track.
The dinner is 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Mid-Coast Presbyterian Church, located at 84 Main St. in Topsham. The cost for adults is $6 and children eat for $3. Takeout is available as well.
Come meet the Scouts and help raise money for the pack’s purchase of a wider track for the Pinewood Derby. This spring Pack 646 will host the Abanaki Regional Pinewood Derby, bringing in many Scouts from the Mid-coast region.
The new track is needed to facilitate the number of excited racers who will attend. Cub Scouts in grades first through fifth get a chance to experience the process of designing their own cars and racing them to see who will win the title of champion.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
