Church holds live nativity

Empty Bowl lunch at SHS

Celebrate the New Year in style
Scarborough Community Services and the 55+ Club are once again offering the opportunity to celebrate the New Year in style with a trip to the Davensport Yacht Club on Wednesday, Dec. 31.
The cost per person is $79 and includes transportation, a luncheon, a cabaret show featuring Carol O’Shaughnessy, live music with an orchestra, party favors and a champagne toast. The registration deadline is Friday, Dec. 19.

New Year’s party at Camp Ketcha
Join Camp Ketcha in Scarborough for its second annual Family New Year’s Eve Party, which will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 31, from 4-6:30 p.m.
Tickets are available now and are $10 per person. Children under 2 are free but there is a cost for the meal. If any are available, tickets will be sold at the door for $15.
The price of admission includes one slice of Portland Pie pizza, fruit and a drink. Extra slices will also be available for sale. The event includes live entertainment provided by the deejays Flamin’ Raymin & Sizzlin’ Suzzin, a pizza dinner, and a New Year’s “countdown.”

Library to hold Snow-Palooza
The Scarborough Public Library will hold a special Snow-Palooza event for kids 10 and up on Thursday, Dec. 18, from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Attendees can choose to watch the recently released movie “Maleficent,” or they can play a round robin of board games.
