Accident

Police responded to a single vehicle crash at 11:42 a.m. Dec. 17 on Route 1 northbound near Cook’s Corner. According to police, Ryan Case, 27, of Lisbon Falls, was driving a 2004 Cadillac during rainy weather when the vehicle hydroplaned and struck a tree. Case was transported to Mid Coast Medical Center for non-incapacitating injuries. A passenger was not injured in the crash.

Arrests

Joel C. Betz, 52, of Grandlake Stream, was charged on a warrant out of Wiscasset District Court for domestic violence stalking and violating conditions of his release. He was also charged with operating under the influence. Betz was charged at 6:32 a.m. Dec. 16 at the Brunswick Police Department, where he had driven to in order to file a report of harassment. Police said that officers noted Betz appeared to be intoxicated during their interaction with him. A check of his name also revealed the warrant for his arrest.

Bryan D. Wilson, 23, of Brunswick, was charged on a warrant after police responded to a disturbance at the Pass Properties apartments on Dunning Street at 5:35 p.m. Dec. 16. The warrant was issued by Cumberland County Criminal Court for unpaid fines. Police had arrived at the area of 9 Dunning St. to respond to a call of young adults gathering there, apparently ready for a confrontation. The crowd dispersed after police arrived.

Jessica E. Stedt, 36, of Harpswell, was charged by Brunswick Police on a warrant after an investigation in Harpswell shortly after noon on Dec. 17. The warrant was issued by Lewiston District Court for unpaid fines.

Zachary D. Brown, 22, a transient, was charged with criminal trespass after police responded to a report of trespassing at Pass Properties on Dunning Street at 9:49 a.m. Dec. 17. Brown had allegedly refused to leave the area, resulting in his arrest.

Stephen Sands, 43, of Brunswick, was charged on a warrant out of Cumberland County at 1:31 p.m. Dec, 18 on Perryman Drive.

Summonses

Brittany Anne Wallace, 21, and Alyssa C. Dubois, 20, both of Brunswick, were charged with theft by unauthorized taking or transfer at 8:23 p.m. Dec. 12. The two had allegedly shoplifted from Morning Glory on Maine Street Nov. 7, according to police.

Courtney O’Toole, 29, of Brunswick, was charged with assault at 10:06 a.m. Dec. 15 at Curtis Memorial Library on Pleasant Street. Police said O’Toole allegedly assaulted a 28-year-old victim the day before at Walmart on Tibbetts Drive. The victim did not require medical attention, according to police.

Three Brunswick residents were charged with assault after police had responded to a report of an assault at Hannaford on Elm Street shortly before 2 p.m. Dec. 18. Summonsed were Wilbert A. Smith, 42, Richard R. Aloisio, 35 and Sandra A. Whalon, 27. The assault apparently stemmed from a road rage incident that happened earlier in the vicinity of Harriet Beecher Stowe Elementary School, according to police.
