The results are in and a winner in the Brunswick Downtown Association’s Holly Jolly Window Decorating Contest has been declared — It’s All Good Upscale Resale.
The store, located at 212D Maine St. is the recipient of a $500 prize.
The BDA contest encouraged downtown Brunswick retail stores, restaurants and businesses to “bedazzle” shoppers and pedestrians with their creative window displays.
Second place honors ($250 prize) went to Timeless Cottage, located at 66 Maine St.; third place ($100 prize) went to Cool As A Moose, located at 128 Maine St. Honorable mentions went to Frosty’s Donuts (54 Maine St.) for Creativity and What’s Up (124 Maine St.) for Sparkle Power.
“As you stroll downtown visiting the shops and restaurants, I hope you enjoy all of the holiday lighting and decorations — in the storefront windows, on the light posts, the Christmas tree, and the beautiful lighting of the Gazebo and Veterans Monument,” said BDA Executive Director Debora King. “We would like to send a special thank you to the Merrymeeting Board of Realtors for their generous contribution of live wreaths on all of the lamp posts lining Maine Street.”

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
