BATH — Randall Allen Dexter, 72, resident of Middle Street in Bath died Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Maine Medical Center in Portland following a long illness. He was born January 17, 1942 in Rochester, NH a son of Warren Frederick and Mary Helen (Bragdon) Dexter. He attended schools in California.

Mr. Dexter served in the US Navy for over twenty-seven years retiring in 1987 as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. During his time in the Navy he worked as an educator training new recruits.

He enjoyed spending his time following retirement volunteering at various organizations but was particularly active volunteering at local soup kitchens and food banks.

He will be remembered by those that knew him for his sense of humor, Randall always said that it was his “job” to make people laugh and he took that job very serious.

Randall is survived by his fiance’ Isabelle Nancy Martin of Brunswick.
