
Brian worked at BIW for 17 years, and St. Mary’s Church in Bath, retiring in 2007. He had been involved with the Knights of Columbus and served as Grand Knight and held many local and state seats within the organization.
Brian enjoyed time with his family, friends and neighbors. He would help anyone, whether it was a ride to the store or shoveling a neighbor’s driveway. Brian recently attended his 50th high school reunion and couldn’t stop talking about being the golf caddy for the friends that he reconnected with during that weekend.
Surviving him are his daughters Sharon Lewis of Durham, Michelle Brann and her husband Gerald of Bath. A granddaughter Kristen Brann, sisters-in-law Pauline Aportria and her husband Jim, Sally MacLean and her husband Charles, and Jane LeBrun, along with several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Nancy, his parents Harold and Althea Lewis, and brother, Robert Lewis.
Visiting hours will be held Monday, Jan. 5, 2015, from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Desmond’s Funeral Home, 638 High St., Bath, followed bya1p.m.MassofChristian burial at St. Mary’s Church, 144 Lincoln St., Bath, Maine. Burial in Biddeford will be held in the spring.
