LISBON FALLS — John B. Frank, 63, of Lisbon Falls, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2014, at his home. He was born in Gardiner on March 15, 1951, a son of the late Granville and Arlene (Long) Frank.

He grew up in the Bowdoinham area and attended Bowdoinham and Brunswick schools. He was a graduate of Brunswick High School, class of 1973. After high school, John attended and studied Spanish at the University of Maine at Orono where he received his bachelor’s degree in 1977.

After college, John traveled west to California where he applied his education in Spanish and also worked for over 20 years as an accountant for the University of California at San Francisco. After many years out West, John finally returned home to Bowdoinham in 2012.

He will always be remembered for his love and research of music and had a vast vinyl record collection that he cherished. He was also very fond of animals and enjoyed their company and helping them out through various humane societies.

He is survived by two brothers, Philip and Gus Frank, both of Bowdoinham, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, Ronald and Robert Frank, and a sister Joyce (Estabrook) Keenan.

Family and friends are invited to gather in John’s memory on Friday, Jan. 2 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Bowdoinham Village Cemetery at a later date.
