TOPSHAM — The Mt. Ararat High School freshmen basketball team split a pair of recent games. The first game went to the Edward Little Red Eddies, 27-26.
The Eagles were down in the fourth quarter, but managed to battle back, though were unable to come up big in the final seconds. Kyle Brennan had eight points in the charge.
In a game against Skowhegan, a strong, full-team effort helped the Eagles capture a 59-31 victory. Defense was noted as the key to the game, with Blair Kopp totaling eight points in the win.
