In October 2014, she was diagnosed with brain cancer. Her fiery and determined spirit pulled her through some difficult days.
Yvonne is survived by Granville, her husband of 60 years; daughters Linda Arris and Pauline Arris Hanson, wife of Dale Hanson; granddaughter Janice Sypniewski; grandsons Daniel Arris, and Sean Sypniewski and wife Shannon; her sister Jeanne Giddinge and her children Carl and wife Carolyn Bowen and Richard Bowen. She is the daughter of Adelard and Dorilda (Derocher) Coulombe.
Yvonne loved her pets Tabor-Pepere, Albert, Diego, and Moo. She also enjoyed feeding George, a senior homeless kitty. Yvonne was the only one who was able to get near him.
Yvonne was loved and cherished by everyone she met. She will be missed. Heaven is a brighter place today.
A service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, at 11:30 a.m. at Pathway Vineyard in Brunswick.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
