WELLS — The body of a Kennebunk woman was found Thursday evening in Wells Harbor.
Kathryn Ryan’s remains were found on the Drake’s Island side of Wells Harbor around 5:30 p.m., according to a press release from Wells Police.
Ryan, 61, lived at 54 Fletcher St., Apt. D, Kennebunk, and had been reported missing. She had last been seen Monday, according to Wells police.
Kennebunk police had said in a press release issued before her body was found that Ryan “may have some medical issues that need to be tended to.”
A joint investigation conducted by the Wells and Kennebunk police departments, with assistance from the Maine Marine Patrol, has determined the death is not suspicious, and police are working with the Maine Medical Exami-ner’s office to determine the exact cause of death, according to Wells police.
