SANFORD — The Goodall Library is announcing its newest exhibit, “Feather Paintings,” by artist Robin Cobb. Cobb finds feathers to be the perfect canvas for her nature-inspired subjects.
“It is very nice to be able to bring a piece of nature into others lives through my artwork,” she said.
Each feather inspires what subject she will paint on it. She also paints on canvas, mushrooms, glass and much more.
In the summer and fall, she teaches mushroom nature walks with tips on survival in the woods. She also offers home-schooled children art lessons in her home. Cobb lives in Shapleigh with her husband Mark and their dog Gus.
Cobb may be reached at [email protected], or her website at www.naturesfootprintsart.com.
Her work will be exhibited from January through March. Goodall Library is open Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m to 8 p.m.; Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, call 324-4714.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
