BATH — Ruth L. Sarkis, 93, died Dec. 30, 2014.
A graduate of Wiscasset High School and Northeastern Business School, Sarkis worked for many years at Bath Iron Works as an expediter and buyer. In her retirement, she enjoyed her home, family and sports.
Sarkis was predeceased by her husband, George.
She is survived by her two children, Peter Sarkis and Kaleele Sarkis-Ahlers; two grandchildren, Georgia and Matthew Ahlers; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held at the David E. Desmond & Son Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Jan. 10 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, in Bath.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Sarkis’ name can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
