BIDDEFORD — George Baiguy, 90, of Biddeford died peacefully Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015 at Falmouth by the Sea in Falmouth.

He was born May 16, 1924 in Biddeford a son of Leon J. and Eliza (Couture) Baiguy.

He was educated locally and was a graduate of St. Louis High School in the class of 1943.

On Nov. 26, 1949 he married Ramona Beaulieu at Sacred Heart Church in Winn.

Working for Saco-Lowell Shops, he was a “road man” who would travel to various locations to assemble the textile manufacturing machinery made here. Weary of life on the road, he became an independent insurance agent in Biddeford, representing John Hancock, New York Life and other insurance companies.

George was a member of St. Louis Alumni Association.

He was preceded in death by: a brother, Jean Baiguy; and a sister, Jeannette Shepard.

He is survived by: his wife of 65 years, Ramona Baiguy of Biddeford; two sons, Donald R. Baiguy and his wife Iriabel of Windham, New Hampshire, and Robert K. Baiguy of Windham; four daughters, Sheila Fay of Falmouth, Sandra Curro and her husband Anthony, Anita Moran and her husband Alexander, and Linda Barone, all of Biddeford; 16 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews

Visiting hours will be 10-11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 19 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm Street, Biddeford. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford.
