FALMOUTH — Linda Marie Larrabee Polkey, 67, of Falmouth, died Jan. 12 after a short illness at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarbrough, surrounded by her family and friends.

She was born in Portland on Aug. 22, 1947, the daughter of Rose (Villacci) and Allen Larrabee.

Polkey will be remembered for her sense of adventure and love of taking “the road less traveled.”

She was predeceased by her nephew, Graydon (“Deke”) Wright, in 1998.

She is survived by her sisters, Esther Jane Noyes and partner, Marshall Graf, of Venus, Florida, and Susanne Larrabee Wright Ashland, of Canaan; her brother, Jerry Larrabee, and wife, Norma, of Wingdale, New York; great-aunt, Marie Brown; uncle, Danny Villacci; nieces Angela Currier, Kelly Hanscom, Jennifer Noyes, Chrissy Petersen and Karen Larrabee; nephews Isaac and Carl Petersen, and Rick, Mike and Larry Larrabee; her godson, Darren Burnell; and her close childhood friend, Nancy Burnell, of Raymond.

Polkey was the owner of Vacation Land Video Store in North Yarmouth, and the staff and customers were also very important “family” to her.
