FRYEBURG ( AP) — Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide in the western Maine town of Fryeburg.
Police say 52- year- old Mark Buzzell shot and killed his 52-year-old wife Jody Buzzell in their Fryeburg home on Monday afternoon. They say Mark Buzzell’s body was found in a vacant residence next door.
Police say Mark Buzzell left a note and told family members he had killed his wife. Their bodies will be transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Augusta today.
Route 113 closed for about 12 hours until Mark Buzzell’s body was discovered at about 5 a. m. The homicide is the first in Maine this year.
