AUBURN — TJ Sullivan broke a 3-3 tie with 5:57 remaining in the second period as the Brunswick boys downed Gray-New Gloucester/Poland, 6-3, in an Eastern A boys hockey contest at Norway Savings Bank Arena on Wednesday.
Jacob McGowan scored twice in the first period, and Jared Parent tallied a power-play goal as the 9-4 Dragons jumped out to a 3-0 lead 7:23 into the game.
Patriots forward Isaiah Dubois scored late in the opening frame, and two goals by Ethan Collier tied the game in the second.
Sullivan tallied again late in the second period for a 5-3 lead, and completed the hat trick at 10:30 of the third period.
McGowan had two goals and two assists, with Parent adding one goal and two helpers. Andrew Eno and Nate Granholm had one assist each, while Brunswick netminder Devin Allard turned aside 33 shots.
Brunswick hosts Lawrence/Skowhegan on Saturday at 7:15 p.m.
