BIDDEFORD — Georgette L. Perreault, 85, of Biddeford, died Monday, Feb. 2, 2015 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice in Scarborough.

She was born June 13, 1929 in Claremont, New Hampshire, a daughter of Wilfred and Emilia (Vermette) Lariviere.

She came to Biddeford as a child and was educated in Biddeford schools receiving her high school diploma through the Biddeford Adult Education program.

On April 17, 1948, she married Irenee R. Perreault at St. Andre’s Church in Biddeford.

Georgette had been employed at Woolworth’s in Biddeford, First National Stores in Saco and later at Rich’s Department Store in Biddeford for several years. She worked for 20 years at Pepperell and Bates Mfg. Companies, two years at John Roberts, Inc. and 20 years at Fairchild Semiconductor in South Portland, retiring in 1995.

She enjoyed playing Bingo, doing home crafts and going to Foxwoods. Georgette wanted to help her family and friends by assisting with appointments, shopping and errands.

She is preceded in death by: her husband, Irenee Perreault in 1990; a brother, Maurice Lariviere in 2008; and a sister, Rita Boucher in 2004.

She is survived by: her daughter, Monya J. Poitras and her husband John of Saco; and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be 10”“11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 6 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 11 am.
