BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick High School boys basketball team completed its Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference regular season with a 72-47 victory over Lawrence on Friday.

Pearson Cost led the balanced Brunswick lineup with 15 points, including two 3-pointers. Thomas Hanson had 14 points, Taran Payne 10, Alex Bandouveres nine and Josh Dorr eight.

The Dragons led 17-9, 31-18 and 50-38 at the quarter breaks.

Lawrence (5-13) had four players with seven points — Derick Rosen, Cole Robinson, Kyle Robinson and Dustin Simpson-Bragg.

The host Mariners held off Morse in the fourth quarter for a KVAC Class B win at Rockland on Friday.

Keenan Hendricks had 19 points and Nick Mazurek 17, including four from beyond the arc, as Oceanside finished 12-6 by posting quarter leads of 13-8, 27-21 and 40-31.

Ethan Winglass led Morse (13-5) with 20 points, while Keegan McDonough picked up 11 and Juwan Moore six.

The visiting Mariners rallied in the second half for a KVAC Class B win over Morse, which finished the season 7-11, on Friday.

After a 6-6 first quarter, the Shipbuilders claimed a 17-16 halftime lead. Oceanside battled back, going ahead 26-24 after three and pulling away in the fourth despite making just 10-of-22 free throws in the contest.

Ashley Gardner had 10 points for the Mariners, while Payton Billingsley had seven.

Signe Ostergaard had a game-high 13 points for Morse, with Emma Harrington adding eight points. The Shipbuilders were 4-of-16 at the line.

Ostergaard and Harrington were named to the All- KVAC Second Team on Saturday, while teammate Sophie Sreden earned an Honorable Mention. Sreden, Leia Graves and Julia Hart were selected for the KVAC All-Academic Team.
