TOPSHAM — Joseph Coppens, age 26, of Clearview Lane, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015, at his home in Topsham. He was born in Brunswick on Dec. 2, 1988, the son of Cheryl and Kevin Coppens.

He attended Topsham schools and graduated from Mt. Ararat in 2007. Joe received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from University of Maine in 2012. He was a proud member of TEKE fraternity there.

Surviving are his parents; a brother, John Coppens of Topsham, and his grandmother, Frances Clark of Brunswick.

Joe is fondly remembered as a bright young man and for his unique sense of humor. His friends would think twice before challenging him to video games or a Magic game. To all of us who knew Joe best, he will be forever missed.

Rest in peace, dear sweet Joe.

A celebration of his life will occur at a later date.
