Some communities are lifting parking bans and restoring services earlier than expected due to the storm that wasn’t a storm for most of Maine.

Brunswick Police announced Sunday it would lift its parking ban at noon, instead of 7 a.m. Monday thanks to a storm that mostly missed all but York County in Maine.

Gorham and Falmouth have also lifted their parking ban ahead of schedule.

Portland city officials said the parking ban will remain in effect until 6 a.m. Monday as crews work to clean up blowing snow.

The METRO bus system announced service resumed at noon Sunday with its regular Sunday schedule.

METRO officials said passengers should expect delays because strong winds and blowing snow could slow down the service.

This will be updated.
