BIDDEFORD — Roland L. Nolette, 86 of Biddeford, died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015 at Seal Rock Healthcare in Saco.

He was born Nov. 14, 1928 in Riley, a son of Omer and Merilda (Dallaire) Nolette, and was educated there.

He came to Biddeford as a child.

Mr. Nolette served with the U.S. Army during World War II.

On Sept. 3, 1949, he married Theresa Hebert at St. Mary’s Church in Biddeford.

He had been employed at Cummings Grocery and Bugbee & Brown Warehouses and was also a self-employed finish painter. He was last employed as a shipper at West Point Pepperell Co., retiring in 1988.

Roland was a member of the Biddeford Eagles aerie #804. He enjoyed building model ships and planes, finish painting, NASCAR racing and following the Red Sox and Patriots. He was also a collector of movie memorabilia.

He is preceded in death by: his wife, Theresa Nolette in 2002; and three sisters, Anita Lantagne in 2000, Jeannette Brochu in 2005, and Laura Blanchette in 2014.

He is survived by: one son, Leo P. Nolette and his wife June of Lyman; one daughter, Dorothy Wood of Rainelle, West Virginia; seven grandchildren, Jocelyn Malaguti, Robyn Gray Puleo, Jason and Jessica Nolette, Billie Jo Tilbe, Barbie Collas and Eric Pokorski; five great-grandchildren, Layne and Maeve Puleo, Brittany Collas, Brandon and Brianna Malaguti; one brother, Robert Nolette of Holliston, Massachusetts and Biddeford; and several nieces and nephews

Visiting hours will be 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 20 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21 at the funeral home. Spring burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Biddeford.
