TOPSHAM — Peter F. Flaig, age 90, of River Road, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015, in Brunswick after a period of declining health. He was born on Feb. 13, 1925, the son of Felix and Grace Arno Flaig. He attended Topsham and Brunswick schools.

On Aug. 7, 1948, he married Jeanne Trank. She died on April 5, 2007.

Peter was employed at Pejepscot Paper Co. for 46 years, retiring in 1988. He enjoyed raising cattle on his farm and showed them for many years at the Topsham Fair, where he was a member of the Fair Association.

He is survived by four sons, Donald and his wife Judy, Roger, Daniel and his wife Debbie and Randall and his companion Richelle Niles, all of Topsham. Also surviving are four grandchildren Justin, Timothy, Daniel Jr. and Jaime, and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two brothers Charlie Tarr and Paul Flaig, a sister Arlene Dickinson and daughter-in-law Sally

Visiting hours will be held Thursday, Feb. 19 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick, where a funeral service will be held Friday, Feb. 20 at 11 a.m. Burial beside his wife in Rogers Cemetery will be in the spring.

Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
