The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-20s, weighing 140 to 150 pounds. He is said to have been wearing a “safari-type” hat which police say was apparently a dark khaki pith helmet, a tan neck warmer or scarf and a tan jacket, white-washed jeans and white sneakers, according to police.
Police also learned the suspect fled in a car which appears to be a Saab model.
No one was hurt during the incident. The Brunswick Police Department and the FBI continue to investigate the robbery.
According to a Bangor Daily News report, police remained at the bank at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday collecting evidence, and bank officials were reviewing footage from security cameras.
