OLD ORCHARD BEACH (AP) — The crack of baseball bats and cheering crowds are coming back to The Ballpark in Old Orchard Beach, Maine.

The town, the Ballpark commission, and East Coast Baseball League have reached an agreement to bring a franchise to Old Orchard this summer. The new team is looking for a name.

Guy Fontaine, Ballpark operations manager, said the Canadian baseball league will be a good fit because Old Orchard is a popular vacation spot for Canadian tourists.

The Ballpark, home to the Raging Tides for the past four summers, was home to the Maine Guides baseball team in the 1980s and has been a venue for concerns by the likes of Aerosmith, Bob Dylan and Celine Dion.
