TOPSHAM — The Cathance River Education Alliance and the Topsham Public Library present a talk on the Bobcat and Canada lynx Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 6:30 p.m. at the library.
The wild cats of Maine are fascinating but seldom seen. Project Scientist Danielle Tetreau will be on hand to present an engaging program about our bobcat and Canada lynx.
“We’ll discuss how these species are related, their life history, individual habits, habitat preferences, and distinguishing characteristics,” an event announcement states.
Tetreau has conducted research throughout Maine and the Northeast, and studied Wildlife Management in Kenya.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
