BIDDEFORD — Elements: Books Coffee Beer will celebrate its second year of business March 1, and eight Maine breweries are creating one-off batches of beer and handing off brewery-only kegs to help Elements mark the occasion.
On Friday, Feb. 27, at 7 p.m., Elements will tap special releases from Banded Horn Brewing Company in Biddeford, Barreled Souls Brewing Company in Saco, Maine Beer Company in Freeport, Gneiss Brewing Company in Limerick, and Portland breweries Austin Street Brewery, Bunker Brewing Company, Foundation Brewing Company and Rising Tide Brewing Company.
During its anniversary weekend Elements will host live music Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m., and Sunday at 1 p.m. Additionally, Elements will offer $1 brewed coffee March 1 to express its appreciation to the community.
Owner Michael Macomber opened the doors, at 265 Main St., on March 1, 2013. Over the past two years, Elements has established itself as an anchor of the Main Street community. Elements is a favorite local spot for people seeking a comfortable place to meet, work and study. It features quality coffee beverages, craft beer on 10 draft lines, weekly live music sets and a wide selection of used and like-new books.
