BRUNSWICK (AP) — Brunswick police have made an arrest in the robbery of a bank in town.
Police said Tuesday they have arrested 20-year-old Benjamin Lamphere, of Brunswick, and charged him in connection with the robbery Feb. 18 of a Bank of Maine branch.
Det. Sgt. Martin Rinaldi tells The Times Record that the arrest was made quickly thanks in part to an excellent description of the suspect from a teller, as well as other eyewitness accounts.
A handgun was shown during the robbery, but no one was hurt.
The FBI assisted in the investigation.
