Air Force Airman Zachary J. Jackson graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Jackson is the son of Kristen T. Norton and stepson of Elmer Norton of Chesterville. He is also the grandson of Paul and Contance Jackson of Canaan, Vt., and Rose-Mary Mackinnon of Plaistow, N.H., and nephew of Carrol Jackson of Colebrook, N.H., and Tracy Mackinnon of Old Orchard Beach. The airman graduated in 2013 from Mt. Blue High School in Farmington.
