SACO ”“ Norman L. Croteau, 85, of Saco died on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015 at his home in Saco.

He was born March 4, 1929 to Joseph and Claudia (Martin-eau) Croteau in Saco.

On Nov. 11, 1949, he married Claire Picard at St. Andre’s Church.

He owned and operated Norm’s Market and was a member of the Elks and Fremont Club. He loved music and was an avid fisherman.

Norman is preceded in death by: three brothers, Emilien, Raymond and Raoul Croteau; and six sisters, Yvette Labonte, Laurette Ouellette, Therese Croteau, Lillian Cyr, Fernande Page and Rachel Laflamme.

He is survived by: his wife of 65 years, Claire A. Croteau of Saco; three daughters, Patricia Hurtubise of Biddeford, Debra Lauzon of Biddeford, and Brenda Ringuette of Biddeford; three brothers, Wilfred Croteau of Old Orchard Beach, Robert Croteau of Saco, and Gerard Croteau of Biddeford; three sisters, Evelyn Menard of Blackstone, Massachusetts, Jacqueline Robson of Richmond, Virginia, and Simonne Doyon of Ocean Park; six grandsons; two great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visiting hours. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4 at St. Anne’s Chapel of Good Shepherd Parish.
