BANGOR(AP) — A spokesman for the Maine Attorney General’s office says the trial of a Maine man charged with using Facebook to lure a teenager to her death could end as soon as Thursday.
Twenty-one-year-old Kyle Dube of Orono is charged with kidnapping and murder. The trial started on Feb. 23 in Bangor. Dube is charged with killing 15-yearold Nichole Cable of Glenburn in May 2013. The spokesman says closing arguments in Dube’s trial could be finished by Thursday, at which point the judge will likely hand the case to the jury.
Jurors are still hearing testimony.
Recent testimony from investigators is centering on DNA evidence they say links Dube to the scene of Cable’s disappearance.
