BIDDEFORD — Robert N. Fecteau, 67, of Biddeford died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015 in Lyman at the home of his brother.
He was born July 25, 1947 in Biddeford, a son of Emile and Lina (Beaudoin) Fecteau. He was educated in local schools and graduated from Biddeford High School in the Class of 1967.
He attended Hanson Barber School in Lewiston before serving in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He then worked in the York County Sheriff’s Office as a jury officer.
On Nov. 29, 1974 he married Priscille Landry in Biddeford.
They moved to Connecticut for five years, where he worked for Eldridge Hardware in Norwich.
Returning to Maine in 1979, he was employed at Nike Shoe for eight years. For several years with Priscille, he owned and operated Bob’s Party Cakes and Supplies on Jefferson Street in Biddeford. He also worked for eight years each at Biddeford Textile, John Roberts, Inc. and York Manor, retiring in 2012.
Bob is preceded in death by: Priscille, his wife of 40 years on Nov. 24, 2014; and his brother, Roger Fecteau.
He is survived by: one son, Richard R. Fecteau and his wife Lisa of Hollis; two brothers, Renald Fecteau and his wife Yolande of Southington, Connecticut, and Paul Fecteau and his wife Linda of Lyman; two sisters, Priscilla Gagnon and her husband Roland of Biddeford, and Patricia Martel and her husband Patrick of Biddeford; three grandchildren, Jenna, Matthew, and Ryan; and two great-grandchildren, Miyra and Rylie.
There will be no visiting hours.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 7 at the Hollis Center Baptist Church, 388 Hollis Road, Hollis. Senior Pastor Ron Sargent will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford at a later date.
