BRUNSWICK — Shannon Brady and Sara Binkhorst have been named First Team selections to headline All-New England Small College Athletic Conference honors announced on Wednesday.

Brady and Binkhorst are joined by Bowdoin teammate and first- year Kate Kerrigan, who was named Co- Defensive Player of the Year in the conference.

Binkhorst is a repeat first-team allconference selection, and ranks seventh among league players with 14.5 points per game and fourth with 3.4 assists per game. Binkhorst is also one of the top shooters in the league, ranking second in Division III with a 87.3 free-throw percentage and ranking among the NESCAC leaders with a 41.7 3-point percentage.

Brady moved up to the First Team after being a 2014 Second Team All- NESCAC pick and the 2012 Rookie of the Year. She is sixth in the NESCAC in scoring at 14.6 points to go along with 6.5 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game for the Polar Bears, who are making their 15th overall NCAA appearance tonight against Babson (7 p.m. at Morrell Gymnasium).

Kerrigan caps a sensational rookie campaign by being named Co-Defensive Player of the Year. She led the NESCAC in steals with 60 and is one of the top rebounding guards in the league at 5.4 caroms per contest. Kerrigan is the third Polar Bear to be selected along with three-time honoree Justine Pouravelis (2004-06) and Katie Cummings (2007).
