BIDDEFORD — Richard G. Lemire, 66, of Brewer and formerly of Biddeford, passed away in Brewer on Sunday, March 8, 2015.
He was born in Biddeford on Dec. 31, 1948, a son of Leo and Theresa (Morin) Lemire. He was a graduate of Biddeford High School and received his bachelor’s degree from University of Maine at Orono.
Richard lived in Biddeford and Burlington, Vermont, for many years. He was employed as a union representative for the Social Security Administration.
He was involved in the theater group in Burlington, Vermont. He also enjoyed cribbage tournaments, flower gardening and was an accomplished pianist.
He was predeceased by: one sister, Margo.
He is survived by: two sisters, Diane Dupuis of Biddeford and Celeste Crowley of Ocala, Florida; one brother, Norman Lemire of Kennebunk; and one nephew, Brandon Lemire.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 12 at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Biddeford. Arrangements are by Cote Funeral Home, Saco. To sign the guest book or leave condolences go to www.cotefuneralhome.com.
