BIDDEFORD — Only a short time remains to nominate young volunteers for the Kohl’s Cares Scholarship Program. Youth ages six to 18 who have made a positive impact on their communities can be awarded scholarships and prizes, ranging from $50 Kohl’s gift cards to $10,000 scholarships.
To nominate volunteers for a Kohl’s Cares scholarship, visit www.kohlskids.com. Nominations are accepted through March 13, and nominators must be 21 years or older. Through the Kohl’s Cares Scholarship Program, Kohl’s aims to honor young volunteers who have made a difference in their communities.
Kohl’s will reward more than 2,500 kids nationwide on the store, regional and national levels for their volunteer efforts with nearly $400,000 in scholarships and prizes.
Ten national winners will each be awarded a $10,000 scholarship for higher education, and Kohl’s will donate $1,000 to a nonprofit organization on each national winner’s behalf.
Nearly 200 students will win regional scholarships worth $1,000 toward higher education.
More than 2,000 local students will receive a $50 Kohl’s gift card.
