BIDDEFORD — Carl A. Chretien, 61, of Biddeford, passed away Saturday afternoon on March 14, 2015 at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford after a long battle with illness.
He was born in Biddeford on Jan. 7, 1954, a son of Donald and Claire (Hubert) Chretien. He graduated from Thornton Academy in Saco.
Carl was employed by Snows Canning in the labeling department in Pine Point for two years. He also worked for S.D. Warren in Westbrook for 12 years, where he sustained a life-altering injury.
His hobbies included doing anything mechanical, his cars, and he also had a strong love of eagles.
Most of all, he loved to be with his family, especially his grandson Michael.
He is preceded in death by: his brother, Richard Chretien of Hawaii.
He is survived by: his former wife, Linda (Jordan) Chretien; one daughter, Lori Ann Gibney and her husband Alan of Biddeford; one grandson, Michael; one brother, Dennis Chretien of Saco; two sisters, Patricia Guillereault of Tampa, Florida, and Diane Howe of Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 20 at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Saco.
