LISBON — There will be a review of the final draft plan for proposed streetscape improvements along a portion of Route 196 in Lisbon Falls at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 26, at the Lisbon Town Office.

The town’s upcoming application for a CDBG Downtown Revitalization Grant, to fund this project, will also be presented.

The project was identified by the Route 196 Master Plan Implementation Committee as a high priority, within the town’s work to improve the Route 196 corridor and Lisbon’s downtown areas. The project ties into the recently completed Androscoggin River Trail, recent new businesses in the Falls, the Durham Bridge project, and anticipated Main Street/ Route 196 intersection improvements.

If the Town’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application is successful, this streetscape project would be constructed in the fall of 2015.

For more information about this project, contact Tracey Steuber, Economic & Community Development director, at [email protected] or (207) 353-3000 ext. 122.
