BATH — Main Street Bath is looking for artists of all abilities, students and other community members to create personalized banners for the 11th annual “Banners over Bath” outdoor arts event.

Since this year’s theme is “Vintage Bath,” the banners should celebrate the history of the City of Ships. Prepared blank canvases can be picked up at Main Street Bath’s office at the Bath Train Station, 15 Commercial St. The entry fee is $20, or $15 for nonprofits.

The banners should be finished by April 13, and will hang on downtown lampposts through the beginning of June. Participants can paint or sew, as long as the banner can be hung and survive the spring weather.

Sponsors are also sought to support those students needing help with the $20 fee.

Call Main Street Bath Director Carolyn Lockwood at 442-7291 or log onto visitbath.com for more information.
