CONCORD, N.H. — An Old Orchard Beach man was arrested Sunday night and charged with drunk driving after exiting a government fueling station.
A New Hampshire state trooper had just fueled up at a state, county and municipal fueling station in Hazen Drive in Concord, New Hampshire shortly before 9:30 p.m. Sunday, when he saw a full-sized pickup truck entering the fuel area, according to a press release from New Hampshire State Police.
The pickup truck proceeded slowly through the fueling area and back onto Hazen Drive, according to the press release. The trooper saw the car drift from side to side as it proceeded down the street.
The driver, later identified as Henry McPherson, 26, of Old Orchard Beach, was stopped on East Side Drive, Concord.
McPherson agreed to field sobriety tests, exhibited numerous signs of impairment, and was arrested, according to New Hamp-shire State Police.
A breath test taken later at the police barracks indicated that McPher-son’s alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit of .08, according to New Hampshire State Police.
McPherson has been charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, and is scheduled to appear in court in Concord, New Hampshire on April 10.
