OLD ORCHARD BEACH (AP) — Authorities say one person was injured when an Amtrak Downeaster train struck a passenger vehicle in Old Orchard Beach.
The northbound train struck the SUV at the Union Avenue crossing at about 1:30 a.m. Thursday.
A passenger in the SUV was taken to the hospital.
No name or condition was released.
The road has been cleared and Amtrak says morning trains are back on schedule.
