
Richard worked for Micro Abrasives as a supervisor in Westfield, Mass. He married ShirleyAnn (Liddle) Davison in 1981, and they moved to Maine in 1982. He began working for the Squirrel Island Association and eventually worked as an independent contractor on the island for over 30 years.
Richard was a member of the Elks Lodge in Massachusetts and the Knights of Columbus in Maine. He served on the Budget Review Committee for Edgecomb and the Boothbay Region Refuse Disposal District Committee. He served as Scout Master for the Boy Scouts of America and worked with the local 4-H Program. Richard enjoyed working on his farm, traveling to national parks, and reading.
Richard’s family was a high priority in his life. He was known as a “man of few words,” respectful, and a traditionalist. He helped many people and was very thoughtful of others. He was predeceased by his parents and three grandchildren, MacAlister

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, ShirleyAnn Davison of Edgecomb, ME. Daughters, Darlene Carmolli and her husband Larry of Chelmsford, MA; Lori Puza of Westfield, MA; Theresa Gregal and her husband John of Westerly, RI; and Emily Davison and her wife Lyndsey of Red Hook, NY. Sons, Peter Davison and his wife Lesley of Topsham, ME and Kenneth Davison and his wife, Laurie of Westfield, MA. Grandchildren, Christina, Tyler, Kaitlyn, Ashley, Chiara, Mathew, Sarah, Leah and Ailyn. Sister, Ann Longley of Easthampton, MA. Aunt, Dorothy Bliss of North Adams, MA.
All are welcome to join the family for a time of visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, April 6 at Hall’s of Boothbay, 975 Wiscasset Road, Boothbay, Maine. The funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 7 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace, 82 Atlantic Ave., Boothbay Harbor, Maine, with Father Fred Morse officiating. A luncheon reception will follow at the Parish Hall.
